Can someone tell me of a good champagne that's not too dry? Preferrably quite sweet. I have tasted some quite good champagne before, but I have no idea what kind it was. For the past several years, New Year's Eve has been a series of really crappy champagne that ends up getting pitched. I'm hoping to avoid that this year, so I'd appreciate any help I can get in that department.
Thanks

| | My daughter jabbering away... | ] |
The weather here is a tease! It snowed enough to cover the car (barely). I want snow. On Christmas Eve, we're supposed to get "accumulating snow." Tomorrow we are supposed to go to my mother's house to bake cookies. Middle-daughter and Baby-girl are excited about it, but Oldest-daughter can't be bothered... even with her grandma telling her that she has her birthday present there waiting for her.
I still have a bunch of Christmas shopping to do. That's not getting done any time soon. Today was spent cleaning the house to try to find a place to put up the Christmas tree. Still haven't decided on a spot... according to hubby and baby-girl, it WON'T be on the ceiling. LOL |

I haven't posted about him in a while and you have got to see this. Okay, so Caspar was getting a little scraggly and smelly and I really did,'t relish the idea of him trying to cuddle. So I take him to the Vet and ask about a trim or something and they say sure, they do that.
Well, they did it all right. Shaved his ass and called it a LION CUT.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Don't worry! He's back to his fuzzy splendour. Those shots were taken back inn June, and these are from November.

And just so they don't feel left out, here's a shot of GG and Suvi. I didn't take any of the kittens, who I guess aren't kittens anymore. Maybe later.

Oldest kiddo is going to stay at her grandma's for a while since she's on break. She's going to use her uncle's car to practice driving and hopefully be able to take her driver's test. The middle one needs to get hers, too. (Our insurance is going to go through the roof adding them both to it, but I figure that allowing the kids to drive for a while before they leave home will help them be able to rely on themselves more later.) I know it's part of growing up, and they are taking their tests much later than everyone else, but I'm still leary about it.
However, in the area we live in, it's kind of important to get a driver's license because everything is so spread out. It's not like it is in a city where you can just walk everywhere you need to go or take a taxi... we don't have taxis. Sidewalks do not extend all the way through town, and part of the road through town is a two-lane, 50 miles per hour highway. It's not safe to walk along it. The high school that the two youngest go to is a mile outside of town on a 55 mph road with no sidewalks, and the college is almost 40 miles away. Cars are a necessity, so without a driver's license, you're screwed and stuck wherever you are. |
